Just bought one of these for my o6 td6 vogue, been having problems getting it unlocked for another vehicle tho. Retailer says its an ongoing issue? Steve is this true or are they fobbing me off cause they ain't got a clue?

Also just bought one through my local independent garage, who are a Britpart distributer. Similar price to LRparts above.

Impressed so far, registration and receipt of unlock code all happened within 15 minutes.

Diagnosed I have a front left parking sensor failing (which was my internal justification for buying, other than just wanting a new toy!).

Now, specifically for Steve,

Just got me wondering, I'm assuming "Front Left" in the outer sensor, how does the tool identify the inner pair of sensors, "front inner left", "middle left" etc.

Is there a list of IID plain english fault codes anywhere?

Anyway, another satisfied customer.

Second that, a list of codes in plain english would be a great addition to the product.

Or even a wiki (just look how down-with-the kidz I is!) or somewhere owners could list the faults the tool has brought up, and then a full decription of what they actually mean in the realworld, possibly linked to a How To for the fix on here or elsewhere?

Hi Guys,

Lolo: 'an ongoing issue' would be an exaggeration at any rate. The IIDTool has been with Britpart dealers for a maximum of a couple of weeks... The issue is very simple too. We have not yet supplied additional unlock codes to Britpart. It was a bit of a back and forth figuring out how to best go about supplying these as they need to be saleable by a Britpart dealer, etc. Unfortunately it will still be several weeks before these are actually available at the dealer.
New product and many details to work out. I am sorry. I will see if we can work around the issue by doing an advance sale of some sort. Please PN me your contact details and dealer name/contact etc. Also please inform your dealer that it is not 'an ongoing issue'.


David: I will ask Christian and Patrick (SW Engineers) as soon as they are up and at work in Canada. I've not had to deal with this yet and am not certain exactly what wording was used. The plain English descriptor is that the front left sensor is defective. A further description or published list is not possible (at least not easily) because the information is proprietary to LR and as such copyrighted.

The wiki was the same idea we had to get around the copyright problem as well as providing useful information on fixing a problem. We have already set it up along with a forum for more general questions, etc. We need to make it live together with Britpart.

It is all coming. You are amongst the early customers. We do appreciate your comments and suggestions very much too. This is what will help us to improve our products.

My message was not ambiguous, just curious really!

Now, I reckon your the t of chap who may have an old bumper with the pre 2005 sensors in lying around. When you change your faulty sensor, would you fancy trying one of the earlier ones first, to see if we can use the lower cost sensors?

Are the sensors colour coded to the car paintwork, the ones I've seen for sale don't seem to be  Geoff

Hi

Does the IID Tool have the functionality to turn off factory fitted options such as TPMS? switch off/on auto locking, etc? or does it just provide details of fault codes and clear fault codes (in addiiton to the chnages it can make to the Air Suspension).

I have a TPMS fault and I think I may be better off just switchin it off
