Just had the tediuos job of replacing some blown bulbs in my instrument pack. Anyone who's done this knows how much of the dash needs to be dismantled just to get to the 2 hidden torxs screws at each end of the dash top. Dash end panels - air vents each side - air vent surrounds - passenger cup holder all need to be removed.

Question is has anyone cut the 2 tangs off the dash top prior to reinstallation to make any future removal easier?

I can see why manufacturers would want to design it this way to prevent tampering but this seems to make what should be a simple job excessively complex.

Would removing the end torx screw mountings cause any problem with warping of the dash top with solar heating in the summer?

ive seen a couple with the ends cut off .....if im right powerfull uk have cut theres off "RANGEISM WILL NOT BE TOLERATED"
