Main Dealer Vehicle Health Check?

Are they the same as the service inspection checklists, see link

http://www.fullfatrr.com/gallery/displayim...amp;pos=19

or do they do something different? If different, does any one have this checklist?

I may have one @ home I can scan in for you.

The Health Check is a free service the dealers do. I had it done on my P38 once, it was actually suprisingly useful. They picked up a leak in my valley gasket (although to be fair it turned out to be a rocker cover just needed screwing down a bit tighter)

They do things like check tyre wear at 3 points, check brake pads & discs etc. Frankly everything that you pay £300 for an inspection for less the oil & filter change!

I had one done when my car went in for diff recall. They told me everything was fine although there was no paperwork etc so they may have not bothered. When others have had one did the dealership give you a "write up or checklist of health check?? FFRR TD6 HSE
Adriatic Blue with Parchment leather.

No paperwork, but tyre depths were reported. I have some rust bubbling up on lower rear wing, they didn't report that, nor my knackered fog lights (most of the silvering has corroded away), hence why I'm after the checklist to see what they are supposed to do, in their "complementary" way Wink

Just had an MOT today at Stratstone in Bury ( £29 at the moment by the way!! ) and they did a vehicle health check and it uses a traffic light system ( i.e. red = bad amber = warning green = good ) and covers:-
External :- Engine smoke/noise Brake/cluth/transmission operation mirrors/glass/locks
Wheels & Tyres :- Inner / MIddle /Outer tread depths . Check spare Check wheel alignment
Brake pads :- Tells you depth when new, current depth , useable depth left & recommended depth at which to change
Brakes :- Disc condition fornt and rear Parking brake Brake fluid condition
Antifreeze Condition A/C Vent temperature
Lights/Electrics/Heating :- Lights internal/external Wiper/Washer/Horn Warning lights/check control messages Heater/Air Con Operation Interior/ Safety/Seat Belts
Underside:- Exhaust System / Catalyst Steering / Suspension Vehicle Fluid Leaks Driveshafts/Joints/Gaitord/Mouldings Wheel bearing/Hub/Wear/Noise Hoses/Pipes/Cables
Engine Compartment:- Oil/Fluid/Coolant Level & Leaks Alternator/Belt/Battery Condition Engine Oil Level / Oil Topup

Obviously , a fair few of the above are covered by the MOT anyway , but OK for free. Steve
