Hi All, New to forum, Have got 2006 vogue TD6, It has started making a strange noise before the engine gets up to normal temp. The noise and vibration occur when setting off from a standing start from inside the vehicle it sounds and feels as though its coming from under my feet its audible above radio on normal volume take your foot of the accelerator and it stops does not make noise in neutral, once the engine is warm the problem reduces by 95% had it in the garage and they have checked all they could and suggested wait till it gets worse then we will be able to work out what it is!! any ideas any one ??

the only thing i can think of is that the cat in the exhaust might be loose causing the noise and when it warms up it expands and stops vibrating..

not saying it is that but check it out first..with you saying it stops when in neutral, it could be the gearbox, hopefully its not .

You give him sleepless nights saying it might be the gearbox Stan is that how you got the label "SCAREY"

its very difficult to diagnose something like this unless you are actually with the vehicle..might have to change my user name to something like 'fluffy' or maybe just 'stan'..

update, the strange noise and viubration turned out to be a stone trapped between the car and a heta shield, took a long time to find feared the worst more than once! all good now stone removed...
