ECU Upgrade, how do you know?

Hi,
I'm a very recent new owner of a TDV8 Vogue and I was wondering how you could tell if it's had an ECU upgrade or not. I previously had a 3.0 crd Grand Cherokee that had an ECU upgrade and the my Range Rover feels quicker than I expected.

i don't really think there is any comparison between a 3.0 Jeep and a V8 FF!! i would always say the FF will feel quicker even if the jeep has had a helping hand.

just my opinion of course. Current: TDV8 (3.6) RRS HSE

Past: TDV8(4.4) Vogue
Discovery 3 Commercial
TDV8(3.6) Vogue
TD6 Vogue
D2 V8 ES
D1 V8 ES
RR Vogue Classic

Go out at night, wait till someone comes right up yer backside with their lights on, then floor the accelerator. if you don't see a huge amount of smoke in the headlights behind then you haven't been remapped.
The TDV8 smokes a wee bit on hard acceleration when it's been updated
