Ever Noticed ?

Have you ever noticed that the really rich people are those who drive old cars ? Case in point owner of Ikea who drives a 15 year old Volvo apparently.

I was at my dads place a few weeks back. Chap comes in to pay for the work on his on this tatty looking old TD5 disco. Bill was something like £650 so I was thinking "ouch"

Yeah, but have you seen the quality of Ikea stuff?

In fact it's a bit of a cultural thing, in Sweden there are three factors, firstly nearly everybody drives a Saab or Volvo, secondly people can be very envious and resentful of nice cars, thirdly, there is massive import duty on cars, so a Range Rover for example would cost twice over there what it costs here.

Also your statement is not quite right, of 'really rich people' some are into their cars, and collect vintage ferraris or brand new super cars, some aren't, it's just personal preference. Thumbs Up 2006 Supercharged

I have a mate who is worth millions - proper Rich List stuff. He buys his Rangies second hand. Newest is an 07. He does have about 5 of them though.
