Running board removal

I was thinking about removing my fixed running boards with the matching debris flaps. Once I began looking, they appear to have bolts into the metal holding the flaps on. Has anyone removed or installed these before that can give insight? I do not want to pull these off, find said holes, and then reinstall.

If they are fitted correctly? The front mudflaps will have 10mm bolts drilled through the lower wing plastic panels holding them flush to the wings... If you remove them you will be left with two holes per side... That said, you can simply install standard front mudflaps utilizing the same holes!

The steps are easy to remove, 2x 13mm headed bolts into the chassis and 4x 10mm headed bolts into the inner sills... Remove the larger bolts first then loosen the 10mm bolts, slide the step forward (i think eeek) and then they pull over the 10mm bolts to remove...

Good luck
