A transit longer than 90 minutes in Dubai is horrible (at least it was before they built the new terminal). There are people sleeping all over the place, each with their own odours. Big Cry

You could do Hawaii. December and January are the peak periods but its just so chilled. There is lots to see and do or you could just plump yourself on the beach and do nothing at all.

As for Christmas shopping - still have 8 weeks to put it off. Have to get passed the wedding anniversary first. Paul

Mick, just No. 9 please. Still not recovered from last Christmas. This year'll be no different, same rellies who got on my effin wick last year, drinking my booze, eating my food and generally getting on my tits. As for shopping, heinous pastime which should be banned. Really don't want to spend my hard earned on the F...ers anyway. I'd go to Mauritius but I have a friend who lives there and he's not going to be there over Christmas, so I'll save that for another occasion.

Quite like to try the Seychelles, but Sri Lanka is ahead of it at the moment.

Just booked a flight to Sri Lanka. Flight there is via Male, but only an hour wait. Return direct.

Haven't booked hotels yet. Will post a thread asking if anyone has a recomendation.
