Why? Dont mean to be a pest but house heating and boilers has never been something i've been "into" so know jack all about whats good whats not and what is needed. How do you work out the rad sizes? I know there measured in BTU's but is a 100BTU going to be much diffferent to a 200BTU etc? 04, 4.4V8, Vogue Oslo Blue with LPG.

hi there plumbers are so expensive i should know i am one but 4-4.5k seem alot if you are quite handy then go down doing it yourself copper has gone trough the roof at the moment for new and scrap, plastic pipe is as good as copper(25 years gaurantee) but thermal expansion is quite alot, its also alot faster than copper make sure you use pipe inserts though and the first meter from the boiler has to be copper.Boiler wise worcester and vaillant are the best at the minute but are quite pricey 30kw sonds about right the higher the kw the better the hot water flow rate, plumb center website has a program you input room sizes and it will tell you the kw for the rads the also do heta packs that will do rads boiler etc for a pack price if you want any more help let me know  54 plate 4.4 v8 vogue in black

You should seriously consider keeping the back boiler also. I had this in my first house and should have used it. Instead I replaced it with a gas boiler and now that im in my newer house it has gas fired central heating and no back boiler. I wish I had as I have a stove that can also be plumbed into the back boiler and used to head radiators using coal peat and logs. Over the years this would provide a great saving for a small outlay upfront and i would seriously consider that as an option in addition to new gas boiler as you can switch between the two.  Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

check stovesonline if you want to spend some cash up front and save a lot of money fuelling in the long run as its something im definately doing in our next house and even the FIL is thinking of getting a setup like it

Just need to find a decent amount of wood and a woodstore

sorry for the delay thats a good deal seen them alot in the papers never used them though same boiler as i have as for the certficate you will have to let to get a gas safe engineer pass it to you can fit the pipe but as for the connections to the meter and boiler, fire etc this has to be done by them as for the website its plumb nation sorry not plumb center any more help let me know
