Farting noise air con

On my TDV8 once I put key into ignition it makes a farting creaking noise and then again when i remove key. Im thinking this is normal? If not anyone know what causes the noise? Thumbs Up Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

I've got exactly the same - goes on for 2 or 3 seconds every time key is turned on or off, bit like a cheap whoopee cushion. Strange, but I quite like it - I treat it like the car's saying hello or goodbye.... Embarassed

Thanks Mick, its a bit sad I know, but then again I don't mind paying the extortionate upkeep if i think she's being polite (and no i don't mean the wife...)

Scarey - don't think it could be the A/C as mine's done it both before and after the compressor was changed and i assume (what's that saying about "ass, u, and me" again?) the dealer would have refilled it when they were done...

Does sound a bit like a rubber bladder stretching and then deflating though...
