Any Euro 4 engine cannot have the EGR blanked off easily, as the engine management must detect the lack of EGR mass flow and illuminate a MIL.

Euro 3 (early D3 and RRS) can, without warning lights.

I'm unsure as to the TDV8, particularly with the various revisions, as to whether blanking would put the vehicle into limp home or not, or just illuminate the warning light (which could be lived with until parts were available). FFRR owner by proxy

There's no LR part number for EGR blanks, the RRS thread was requesting part numbers for the gaskets, to allow blanks to be made from the the shape and bolt pattern. FFRR owner by proxy

Thanks everyone. Is anyone else having problems with Range Rover parts? The scheduled delivery date for the EGR valves is now between the 22nd and 24th November!!!

Ajay I have the same problem and got the same response from Stratstone Doncaster Evil or Very Mad

Is the squeeking EGR valve a common fault? and what causes it? Dealer says it is the valve cleaning itself Question FFRR TDV8 Vogue 08,Zermatt Silver/Jet/Piano, Heated/Cooled ventilated Seats, Privacy Glass, S/C Grilles & Vents, Chrome side tubes, Towpack, 20" SE V Spoke wheels, Roof bar System & Wind Deflectors.

Yep thats exactly the same "lame" excuse I have had now from two dealers Shocked Still cannot believe this can be considered "normal" on any car let alone one as expensive as the FFRR Evil or Very Mad

Perhaps if it does turn out to be a"common fault" Land Rover might actually do something about it Exclamation
