@47p2

Depends if you have a pool cover already if you do its not worth it (ecosavr @ 60% thermal efficiency of pool cover)

Our pool is an odd shape therefore we would have to have a bespoke cover made, fit removal steps and rails and so on. Just not worth the hassle, plus we don't have to keep rolling it out and back for users to access.

We reckon we'll spend @ £250 a year on the liquid pool cover (6m x 4m pool)

Sorry scarey, thread hijacked Embarassed Perhaps rename to "Going Green" ?

I have Sanyo HIT panels and a Fronius inverter - 3.75 kw system. I also installed Vaillant solar thermal (hot water) panels.

nice setup paul...what kind of wattage are you getting on days like today ..

I would have to venture into the loft to read the output on the inverter ..... but it was quite sunny today in the (north) west! I have seen 3.75 Kw.h on a bright sunny day, dropping to a few hundred Watts.h on an overcast day, and about 40Watt.h at dusk.

I don't really keep an eye on the day to day generation ( I could plug a USB memory stick into the Fronius), but am considering getting the following to monitor:

thanks paul, impressive output on a sunday day in winter...my deal i'm going for has a remote 'geo?' wireless monitor which is wired into the inverter and transmits to a receiver showing the useage..

it looks like your forth coming purchase is one that has a transmitter that attaches around the cable and sends info to the monitor, if so beware as i had a britsh gas jobby with the same set up and i couldnt get a constant signal from the transmitter, mind you mine was probably a very cheap product which is a bit different from your one .. ..............................

this is handy Wink
