4.4 TDV8 first service

So, I've booked her in for the first (15k mile) service a week on monday.

Are there any things, service bulletins etc, i should nudge them to sort?

Still periodically get the 'low battery' warning, but never actually had a problem starting - it'd be nice to think I could use the pre-heater thingy come winter though...

Other than that, and a wee rattle the wife has reported (I need to check it), all has been good.

Mine goes in for the same service next Friday...I would make sure they replace your battery for the new gel one if they haven't done so already

Good call. I maybe give them a ring to make sure they line one up.

Do you know if that is something that LR (under warranty) pay for or comes out of the dealer's pocket?

It was done because of a recognised problem with the original battery...and you will get it done under warranty...Just remind them!!! Laughing

Update on first service:

so went in for service yesterday. They claimed I'd actually booked it in for last monday Neutral. But still managed to sort wife a courtesy car, so all good.

The rattle (see my thread elsewhere) was sorted. Can only assume something they did/touched as part of routine service fixed it -as they said they couldn't hear anything when they road tested it. I've not driven it yet, but wife said she couldn't hear it anymore on the drive home.

They fixed our 'sticking' driver's side interior door handle.

I spoke with the service man before the wife arrived to collect it to find out what had been done. He confirmed 'latest software and new battery' - he did mention the telesat(?) thing but not convinced he said it'd been replaced.

Anyway, will let you know how it goes (we'd had the 'battery low' warning light intermittently - but it'd never actually refused to start).

I'm still too scared to use the pre heater thingy this winter Smile
