I asked a mate who is a colonel in a mechanised unit if he'd ever buy an ex-Army landie. He laughed. "No" was the emphatic answer. He said it would be very well maintained but he likened it to buying a ex-hire car. When it doesn't belong to you and there are few consequences if the thing is abuse, well, the car gets abused.

Have searched eBay, there's a 90 up for sale on that page near me but I think I should prevent myself rushing in like a fool, like I did when I was 17!
