Help from V8 owners RE front side light housings

Hi peeps. Another annoying little issue I thought I could easily solve was a loose near side side light housing, but on closer inspection it appears someone has broken (I assume whilst trying to change) the arm that the big White nut sits in that tightens to pull the housing back. So consequently although you get the inner clip in place it pops back out due to this broken arm. If this males any sense Rolling with laughter can I replace the arm or is there an alternative fix?

Cheers for any ideas Range Rover 4.4 V8 Autobiography

Is it the arm or the big white plastic nut?

The white plastic nut on mine was knackered and I heated an 8mm nut and melted it into the plastic, I then removed the metal nut once it had shaped the plastic and put some Araldite in to hold the nut in place....sorted

No it's the arm the nut goes through. It's snapped where it connects at the other end. I assume it's cause it's so tight they just ragged it off. The nut is tight on the housing, it's snapped at the back Range Rover 4.4 V8 Autobiography

You should be able to fabricate something to replace the broken part

Yeah that what I figured it would have to be. Just not an awful lot of room in there lol. I will get my thinking cap on at weekend when I have the light on my side. Cheers for your input Thumbs Up Range Rover 4.4 V8 Autobiography
