I'm trying to find what the official specs are for the weight and speed rating of my TD6?

And yes, before the search nazi turns up, yes I have done a search. I've also looked at at a few other sites. They all have the sizes but not the speed and weight rating.

Well, it is irritating when someone posts an obvious question which is answered in a thousand threads, but forum's are littered with posts by the search nazi who's allocated task is to be the second person on a thread saying 'try the search'.

Everyone knows the search is there, just ignore the people too lazy to use it.

I will be in the market for a new set of summer tyres in the spring. Mine are not worth putting back on for a month or two before they're at the limit. I want a tyre for summer road use. I have winter tyres and don't do off roading, so a quiet, long life road tyre is what is required. I don't mind paying for quality, but I don't like paying for a brand name.

It's just odd that speed and weight ratings are never quoted, but I would like to know the official figures.

I believe that the speed rating for 255/60-18 tyres is "H " ( 130 mph) for std tyres. This is from RAVE
