I have an 07 RR and I looking to convert it to a 2010. Ive done alot of research and talked to alot of garages about their services,however I already have a qualified electrician that can do all the wiring.Consequently all I needed was the parts....
Now when I ask these establishments how much they'd charge to supply me with just the parts theprice range from literally £2500 to £3200.
Thats interesting I thought, so I called LR and got a quote from them for all the parts.
It is as follows;

Bi-Xenon headlights £491.58 each
Front Bumper £452.02
Front Bumper to wing brackets £3.96 each
Rear Lamps £242.97 each
Front Fog Lamps £52.50 each
Front Fog Lamp Bezels £22.60 each
Front Grille £141.26
Side Vents £101.70 each
PDC Sensors £28.25 each
PDC Bezels 0.45p each
Front PDC Loom £93.00
Front Bumper Armature £113.01
Excl VAT

Total- £3,259

Now on first reaction I thought, these garages must be crooked and are basically dealing with stolen parts because how can you get part from LR cheaper ? I mean im sure body shops get stuff cheaper but not that much?

They supply LR parts to LR and these garages. So next time your looking for part for your LR go to CAT not LR!
Now I just need to find a contact number for them, any ideas?

I would have thought that garages can get genuine parts cheaper than you because they get a trade deal.

True but if your selling a conversion kit for less2500 where are your profit margin?

Have you tried Dan @ duckworths as he is more likely to get closer to that price. Also try Gazallio as i think he is looking into this as well??

And i've just seen the price for the side vents.
Go on ebay and there is a seller knocking them out for circa£80-90 delivered for a pair. Thats over £100 knocked off your budget in one go.

i bet you will find that you cant buy direct from them V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

Bumpers front or rear are circa £100-150 at the minute and some home prep work before painting as well saves some money.

Hah! thats just the bare bone bumper skin , it would be a nightmare sourcing 4 PDC sensors , fog, surrounds bumper bars and wing brackets!

Can you re-use your existing PDC sensors and avoid the cost of new sensors and the loom?

Yes the new sensors are a little smaller, but would enlarging the holes detract from the overall look?
