Grill and vents conversion question

i'm looking to upgrade my standard grill and vents but want peoples thoughts on OEM and non-OEM. Do the non-OEM fit as they should? Does anyone have pics of the 2 so i can see them side-by-side as a comparison? $tealers want £260 for the front grill which is mental!!!

Also, i'm looking to put some side steps on but again, seem many variations on the bay and not sure which ones to go for......? Ideally i'd like the retractable ones but can't justify shelling out that sort of money Shocked

Finally, any tips on keeping Ivory leather clean n tidy? How easy is it to "paint" it yourself? Seen a few vids on youtube which make it look easy but i'm not convinced its as easy as they show it to be......

best thing is to have a box of non perfumed nappy wipes in the car to take care of the odd scuff of dirt on leather and clean it very well every 3-6months depending on how heavy the use is of course and then a decent conditioner so they stay happy, or splash out on seat covers for heavy use Smile

i've had it less than 2 weeks and noticed a couple of marks from my jeans already!!! Tried wipes (granted they weren't baby wipes) but they didn't do owt, tried leather cleaner which also did nowt. From reading up on another forum, they suggested AutoGlym's Intensive Tar Remover which i tried and worked a charm! i've had ivory interior in other cars i've owned and never had any issue with marks from clothing, just the odd grubby mark which cleaned off quite easily - is it the type of leather land rover use??

Have you ever tried the painting of the leather??

Its the only leather conditioner and colorant i've ever used.

I use Zymol for cleaning mind but it works great with a small scrubbing brush and really gets the muck out of the leather Smile

You can find genuine grilles on ebay for about £180, much cheaper than dealer. Side vents expect to pay about £120 on ebay.

Dead easy to fit as I'm sure you know. It's a matter of minutes.
