Just out of curiosity, I ran a quote through Admiral for a S/C, quote came back circa £560 which I thought was fantastic. Considering the cheapest I could find for this Merc. was £1000+

It's swaying me more and more to a supercharged Whistle

That price was for a multi-car policy including the current Escort which totalled roughly £1000 for both, insuring a S/C individually would have been £1200 using Admiral's website or £994 from Admiral via Go Compare.

I don't understand insurance. What I do know is, I'm buying a S/C FFRR as it's still cheaper to insure than this Merc Mr. Green 2006 Mercedes CLS
1991 Retro-style Mini
But really finding it hard to fight the urge for a S/C...

I insure mine through Bell (a division of Admiral/Elephant) and pay about £650 fully comp including business use parked on the road in Central London. Beat all other companies by £500-£1500. Tom

Just renewed mine and switched to Admiral (Same company as Bell, Diamond and Elephant) Their renewal letter quoted £670, I did a comparison check which came up as £410, called Admiral direct and they did it all for £357!

11 year NCB, Leisure & Business use, 8k miles, girlfriend is additional driver, on street parking in Central London. Cheapest car insurance I have ever got. Tom

Try A-Plan in Leeds very helpful.

They got a deal that linked mine to my other policy and it came in less than £600 with Aviva
