United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Supercharged Vogue SE Auto Bonatti Grey

If only Land Rover would coat the suspension component bolts etc in copper grease there would never be this problem... I purchased my last TD6 at 18mths old and had the front suspension apart within weeks as there were squeaks! The car had come from North Wales and was already starting to rot! So everything was coated in copper grease and some eight years later it's still perfectly preserved... We did a pair of front strutts on it last week which took 40mins a side!

Would be nice if these parts were coated with copper greased from the factory. Would make any work carried out after so much easier.

Yes, would cost more, but time saved in servicing and repair work would recoup that (although not at source, i.e. Land Rover)

2006 Range Rover Supercharged Vogue SE Auto Zambezi Silver

I did front discs and pads on my SC in just over an hour and a half including cleaning the inside of the alloys.
Edit: saving myself £3-400 quid in labour or likely thousands when the YTS mong strips the threads on the calipers with is windy gun etc...
Wonder what the market for comms engineers is like in Aus... Whistle

England 2004 Range Rover Td6 Vogue Auto Giverny Green

Couldn't agree more.
I live next to the beach and suffer considerable salt spray problems which means that unprotected steel corrodes within months.
I had a Discovery 1 almost from new,17 years old, protected by me with a combination of painted on grease and sprayed underneath with used engine oil with all bolts etc progressively taken off and copper greased and replaced.
Sold with literally almost no corrosion on the car to a very surprised and happy buyer.
