Having spent countles money & time over the years on modifying, my experience is that whilst it's fun and you get exactly what you want, there is little residual value in the modifications.

You may be better going for something like this instead.

It's already reaching £5k and not yet hit reserve, for an almost-30-year old car with £140k miles on it... Doesn't stack with this...

Why not make your own 90 size truck but with all the creature comforts, driving aids and most importantly SPACE inside for a 6ft3" lump like me! + you can opt for an TD5 auto which you cant get in a 90/110

Would cost around the same as a Defender 90 too as Land Rovers are that much more expensive...

I've always fancied a shortened 3 door L322. Two seats in the front with every creature comfort, room for the dog and guns in the back. Perhaps one day, if I win the lottery.

Hard to tell really - it didn't meet the reserve & got to £5700 - maybe he was unrealistic with the reserve.....

Age is somewhat irrelevant on a galv chassis, it's been re-built & I doubt there's much original on it.

It states in the ad that a new engine was fitted, so the mileage is just indicated.

Hard to put a price on it, but it sounds like there is at least £10k of modifications.

My point was that if you by something like an ex-MOD then do the mods, it's likely to cost you a lot more all in and be a lot of hard work - but I may be wrong - just suggesting options Smile
