Tailgate support replacement. Presume easy and just a case of unbolting the old one and attaching a new one? I broke one yesterday…. Thanks in advance.

I believe so. Think they corrode under the covering, so you don’t know till it’s too late 🤣

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 V8 Santorini Black

Hi all, mine has the lower tailgate damper fitted as standard but noticed that it was 'bubbling' when fully open so ordered a replacement (to tell the truth my dog noticed it and was staring at it yesterday while she sat in the boot, which was impressive as the bubbles are tiny).

I don't want to just whack it so what it the method to replace it, does it just click fit on top and bottom or are there actual screws/fittings under the ends which I need to expose by popping off a cover or something ?

Thanks

Answered my own question, they just pop off with a flat screwdriver under the clip at each end.

30s job
