Tyre pressure for 22's

Curious to know what tyre pressures those with 22's running?

I've got 285/35/22 set at 33F & 36R for unladen (i.e. 1 or 2 in the front only). Tyres currently wearing evenly with approx 4mm tread depth. I've done approx 1000 miles since purchasing (car not tyres) so can't assume those are good pressures, but they seem in the right region. 2006 Supercharged

When I got my tyres fitted to the 22" wheels I got, the garage set them to 44, which I thought was too high, so I lowered them to 38 which seemed kinda 1/2 way between what the chart inside the door recommends for 20" wheels and what the garage set them to.

I haven't seen any abnormal wear on any of them. Got - 2008 TDV8 Vogue SE in Java black

I tested this quite a bit recently and initially had mine pumped right up to 46 all round. I was on a trip to manchester airport and got 60 miles into the journey because i could feel every spec of dust on the road.

I deflated this to now 38 at rears and 36 at front... best compromise and even wear.

Were they new 1000 miles ago? As if you only have 4mm left then you have problems my friend... I usually get over 30,000 miles out of a new set of Toyo's

I spoke to Overfinch a mine came with their 22,s on it.

They told me to use 36 for the Front

39 for the rear

Hope that helps

Thanks Renegade.

Set pressures earlier today at 36F & 38R will see how that goes for a week or so. 1 mile round trip to local station with air, so not had enough time to notice any difference yet. 2006 Supercharged
