United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Td6 Vogue Auto Java Black

A while ago I had them replace a cracked windscreen on my old BMW convertible, due to distortion at the lower part of the screen I had them replace it 4 times, 1st two times with autoglass own stock, then Pilkington and eventually with the specially ordered in BMW OEM windscreen. The BMW part was much better but it must have cost the Autoglass a fortune, smashing out all the other new windsreens.

Still, for £70 I wanted it as good as the OEM and was glad I stuck to my guns. Current Drive - 2005 Model Vogue Td6 Black (Touchscreen)

I've been thinking about this, got a stone chip and the heated screen isn't working on one side. Does getting autoglass out really not affect your insurance and no claims? seams a bit far fetched it wouldn't. __________________

I had Autoglass out to me a few weeks ago for a chip.

He said he would repair it for nothing, but if the screen went whilst he was attempting the repair, then i would be liable for my windscreen excess.

No probs with the repair and screen still heating as it should.

That surprises me that the heated screen still works after a chip repair. Normally, the element breaks. You must have been lucky that time. 02 Vogue

Ever since getting the new windscreen fitted there has always been a really annoying whistle from the passengers side at speeds above 60mph so I phoned Autoglass to complain and this morning they sent out "technicians" Laughing who tried to cut the seal around the problem area of the screen then hopefully reseal it....Well the "technicians" Laughing just went and sliced through the heated windscreen cable!!! so they are now busy putting another windscreen in Shocked
