Any tech types about? Need router help

I want to connect my Sky HD box to my sky router. I'm aware that Sky sell a wireless connector but it's £60. I have two spare routers- a BT homehub and an old Sky Netgear one.

Can either of these be configured to work? I've plugged the homehub in and checked in the settings but it won't routinely connect.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was in similar situation to you .... You need to set up a router as a wireless bridge, unfortunatly most routers dont support this option and to get this functionality on mine I had to flash mine with custom firmware (dd-wrt) .... I now use it as a 5 port switch that connects my sky box, blu ray player, tv and media player wirelessly to my router upstairs.

If this option seems too techincal then I'd suggest a cheap set of homeplugs, they plug into the wall sockets and send the ethernet signal over the socket ring wiring. Not used them myself but have heard from friends they are good.
