Kickdown/reset

My gearbox seems to change down at the slightest hint of a hill I have also seen references to reseting the adaptive learning on the gearbox its probably been covered before but can anybody shed some light?

Thanks Mines a blue one! Smile

Reset the gearbox on T4 (or other) and drive it gently for 50 miles normally works...

I think he means past the noticable 'click' near the bottom of the pedals travel which is what induces kickdown as opposed to just letting the TC slip and grab at the max torque point.

pleb is right, I mean all the way down including the click of the kickdown.
( was posted from my mobile )

I'm never sure whether its something that really works or not, but no harm in trying ... especially after oil changes in the gearbox. V8 or else.

Tried it last night going for a run later so see what happens.
Is there any adjustments on the kickdown cable?
