Not sure where it's located Mick, should be covered by warranty though. A common fault with Mercs

Hi Mick,

Sometime interference when the heated window is on can be due to the heating elements breaking down on the glass, causing a 'noisy joint' - you'll here irritating white noise on the radio as the break in the heating element conducts - but only just. Had it a couple of times in cars in the past - a judiciously applied drop of the silver conducting paint stuff (Maplins) usually sorted it.

I have the same thing as well, quite irritating!

In my case however, it is more than a little white noise; it almost completely blocks out the radio signal. Could this be the problem you mentioned Simes or is a faulty antenna amp more likely do you think?

Mick, would love to know what the stealers say when you take yours in if poss? Thumbs Up

Cheers. -----------------------------------------------

If you get a nice misty morning and the screen is very misted up, put on the heated element and watch for an area that clears quicker than the rest - usually in a circle around the dodgy part of the element... That's how I spotted it in the past.
