LTB00906v6 - Twin Speed Transfer Case Judder

There is a UK LTB that might be relevant to for symptoms similar to those described in the OP.

It's called:

" LTB00906v6 - Twin Speed Transfer Case Judder "

" A customer may express a concern that a judder is felt from underneath the vehicle when using steering input at low speeds, for example turning left or right at a junction. This technical bulletin has been updated due to a change to the warranty section, parts section, condition summary and service instruction. "

One solution LR Main Dealers try is a transfer box double flush, a road test and software update.

If LR AU Warranty declines the warranty claim, the MD can raise a case for LR to cover the cost via LR CRC.

I experienced these symptoms for the first time this morning on my drive into work.

I may have to look into this and see if i can get my 64 plate RR done under warranty Current

United Kingdom 2014 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Corris Grey

Hello,

I had that exact problem on my 2014 Range Rover Vogue Autobiography with 62000 miles on the clock. I took it to the main dealer - Hatfields in Liverpool. They were not aware of the fault but took me on a test drive and said that it was probably the transfer case oil that needed changing and then the module re-programming. The car was on extended warranty but they informed me that it was not covered and the cost would be £576 - I was gutted.

So I took the car to the independent Land Rover Centre in Hunts Cross Liverpool. I also had a message on the dash to replace the rear brake pads so I asked for a quote to do both jobs.

The total cost including parts for both jobs was £376 and I was over the moon.

The fault has disappeared and the error messages have gone.

Sometimes better to search out an independent ??

I had the same issue on my 2013 L405 late last year and my local dealer undertook the required remedial work under warranty provided by the LR approved used car scheme.

Is this different to the ‘extended warranty’ scheme? 2019 L405 SDV8 Autobiography

Booked my car in to the dealers next Tuesday. Farnell now want £180 to look at a vehicle if it isn't covered under warranty. I have the extended landrover warranty. This one runs out early May so should be covered if not I won't renew the policy. I'm fed up of arguing warranty issues on a vehicle I've had from new and always had LR full dealer servicing.
