Car and Driver says that it is getting a 523 hp 4.4 liter turbocharged V8.
Which, I suppose, means that the rumours of a BMW V8 were true.

They did not ship the plant to Wolverhampton. The Bridgend engine line was past its useful life. They invested in a brand new V8 line.
So, surprising indeed if they go with BMW engines.

I would be surprised if LR couldn’t see another 10 - 15 years (which is all they really need) out of the Ford V8, having just bought the rights to build it and shipped the plant to Wolverhampton.
