Geoff. I need to clarify that I'm not asking if it's a big issue numbers wise, it appears that it's affecting too many otherwise good L405s.

It's a thought Gremlin, but only if the hole in the bodyshell is identical on cars originally fitted with fixed and opening panels.

I just spent 1/2hr trying to find an answer to this online and failed miserably.
Everything points to just the two drains at the rear of the opening, nothing towards the front, but there must be so ... |

It's just occurred to me, are there only two drain pipes, one each side in the middle?
Or I suppose more accurately at the rear of the opening bit.

Looking at them like that will tell you if they have got really bad, but not what they look like underneath or if they are leaking. |

If I was viewing a car with an opening roof, how easy would it be to inspect the state of the drains?
Obviously I can see from the videos where the drains are, but what can be done in a normal view ... |
