Attempted to drive it inside to work on brakes, but cannot select gear with the brakes in fault mode! Typically it is parked on a damp and stony patch, not the place I would choose to work under it!

I just trimmed the ball joint down with a grinder then bashed the remains out with a hammer, was desperate after much previous effort without success.
 Re-engine or scrap?

Not having much luck sourcing a new temp sensor. Does anyone know how the ECU finds faults, is it a 'normally on' supply that is broken when overheating, or a normally off, or none of the above?
