all that extra weight will diminish your mpg 
i think the FF is already fairly quite ,obviously not RR standard, and most noise is tyre/road noise..

Thanks - will keep persisting.... I read on here something about the bonnet needing to be open for it to work.
I managed to get mine to reset after a bit of perseverance last year.
