Depends how they've been stored/used - it's UV and heat that breaks down the rubber. A set that have been stored through the summer and used during the winter will probably be fine for many years.

I blanked the EGR on mine at ~150k miles. Straight away it idled better, the tip-in response improved (when you initially open the throttle) and MPG improved by a small amount.

I use an Aldi Smart charger on all on my cars - it’s a decent bit of kit made by Meridian. Usually £12.99, think it’s same as Ctek underneath.

Similar to lots on this thread, I was disappointed to find 2014 L405 headlights worse than my outgoing 2010 L322 headlights. In particular, the light on the kerb/verge was quite poor.

Mine did this yesterday when I started it, and suspension was very stiff for first few miles. Stopped and restarted and been fine since. I put it down to the very high ambient temps.

| Sounds more likely to be the pad material and/or the pad backing plates - e.g. Mintex are notorious for being noisy, and if the back of the pads aren't greased properly, they can squeal too |
