2. No full service history - the owner confirmed the only major work he had done were rear calicoes, tyre, brakes and brake hoses.

Getting a metal flat key cut would be a good idea. Yes, the alarm will go off when one opens the door but at least one is in and can open the bonnet to disconnect the battery.
