I went to a car similar to this in the summer, the guy had paid £250 For an imobbilizer chip for his fatty, the guy who programmed it gave him a video showing it being programmed

As Stan says britpart / gap are the same, my unit is badged as britpart but has recently updated to latest gap software only a few weeks ago when I got it

| When you offer the key to the ignition if there is no sound on the steering coloum this usually means immobilizer fault |

There is am easier way, if you buy an intravee unit and change just your rain sensor to BMW light/rain sensor this way will cost around £200 however intravee does add a good selection of features
