I still have problems...and the AGM battery is only a few months old.

So I wanting to know if the Varta battery will fit?
Also...how do I put the bonnet into service mode so I can change the batte ...

my local dealer says that disconnection of the negative should make no difference....
is there any particular feature you are disabling by disconnection of the negative?
 I have this auto heater on the car - But it does nothing?

my suggestion is to keep on at your dealer. LR will eventually fix it. The more feedback they receive, you'd hope they will more prioritise.

Do any of you have a preference for the type of diesel you use? Tesco's cheapest or a higher cetane index diesel. I use BP Ultimate.....I can notice a small improvement in engine response.
