Well the good running didn't last long.

Thankfully not the HDS fault again, that seems to have been solved. However another P023D fault and limp home mode, with the other intercooler hose split : ...

Only done 100 miles since finding it, however all seems to be fine.

Not going to say for certain that it's fixed until I've put a few more miles on.

Some further up the thread recommended look ...

4 weeks ago I picked up a Jan 09 TDV8 Vogue SE with 102k on the clock. It hasn't been the smoothest of ownership experiences so far, but hopefully over the hump now.

Found the car on Autotrader ...

Blimey... makes me think that (despite the minor issues I'm currently having with the speed senor, hopefully sorted though) the 09MY on 103k VSE I picked up for just over 10k was a bargain!

Hoping that as the wires were only just rubbed free of the sheath that a bit of electrical tape round each worn wire and the re-wrapping will do the trick.

I've also stuck on some proper insulation ...

Cleaned up and the core of the green wire is exposed and so is the blue/green one albeit only slightly.

So just went to have a look at the wiring loom to the abs module, looks like a bunch of slightly melted/worn wires which have rubbed against the engine block. Could be the issue!

Used to do oil my own oil changes (still do on the race car), but for all the road cars now I just use national tyre as they do an oil and filter change using good brand oil for cheaper than I can buy ...

Have a look at ASDA Tyres (not kidding!).

Scorpion 255/50/R20 standard fitted price £175.46

If you enter an ASDA Key (code) of 140 and then any other 7 numbers e.g. 1402415687 it will give you 1 ...

So I still have the wheel speed sensor faults triggering the HDC/ABS etc issues.

Fault codes are as follows:
P0500 - vehicle speed sensor A
C1A93 - right rear speed sensor circuit

I've fitted ...

Took it back in and they told me they had locked it in access mode. Just redoing it now.

The joys of not knowing the cars in depth.
