| You have to consider the amount of work vs. fan cost. I used about 4.5 hours of effective work time, the local garage esimate 11.4 hours... I would put in a new one... |

With a bit long arms and fingers, you can reach the fan after removing the pollen filter housing, just two nuts, the bonnet gasket and the whole housing slides out. Recirc need to be OFF.

Not sure how things look like inside the sump but as long as there are two, it seems wise to drain both. |

Thanks for tips.
So far, it have only happened twice and I plan to change oil and filter within a few weeks. I would also check oil pressure using a mechanical gauge. |

| Probably not quite comparable but after 14 years and 200k km, my p38 develpoed a small leak in one of the rear bags, changed all 4 as i felt it was time... Production date on all 4 was about 6 months ... |
