	Its not unheard of, you need to stick to your guns. Apparently, you have to have the regular corrosion inspection done by them to before the agree it for you.

	I was thinking the same.. did you use the likes of waxoyl/dinitrol or some sort of rust prevention spray? I assume you apply it from the voids at each end?
