50 views and no takers.. I understand IID tool is vin locked but I see folk here have the pro versions too..

Any pointers on how much a local specialist may charge? Or any other options.

No you dont lose it, the physical key also sits in there like the previous one did. Mine sits in the spare key so not in the pictures. Can post a pic if it helps

Waste of money in my opinion..

I have always used the VPower or Ultimate range which has additives included in the fuel. Never used supermarket fuel and never had any issues (including black smoke) ...

Taking the hub off is an overkill tbh. If you take the caliper and discs out of the way you got plenty access.. just my opinion

Check my post on the 1st page. Get a butane torch from Toolstation or Screwfix.. not expensive.

Trust me.. you would be better of changing the whole arm.

I agree changing the ball joint in the hub is not easy but you will find it is the ball joint failing that cause the excessive movement cau ...
