Digital TV Tuner Problem

Hi folks,
Hope you might be able to help.
Ive just fitted a 2009 tuner to my 2005/6 model Supercharged with RSE and I cant get the front unit to come on now.
The knob is flashing constantly.
It appears all connections are correct and its all gone back in as it should.
All i can see is a possible issue with the Fibroptic cable. Its showng red at Nokia unit on top but when plugged in there and looked at when disconnected at the next unit the TMC there is no sign of a red light?? Not sure if there would be?

The fibre is connected Amp-Nokia-TMC-RSE-Digital Tuner which I think is correct.

Any help would be appreciated.
Attached is a pic of how it is post fitting.

Thanks in advance.

Think of them as IN and OUT. The red light you see is the input. There will be no light visible on the other side as the light will come from within whatever unit to the connector. I suppose you could trace the light round from one unit to another. If there is no input light then the fault must be from the previous unit... If you see what I mean! Previously..

Lolo:It is a unit from ebay.

Contraband: I understand the input output scenario regarding the lightpath. That would suggest that the Nokia is not transferring the light through it or the flex between the Nokia and the TMC is damaged but it hasnt had any impact. Confused

I have tried running through a reboot sequence I found on Range rovers.net but didnt seem to have any luck.

Looks like a trip to the stealer Big Cry

Hope someone can shed some light on it?

Cheers

Buildr.... Sounds like a classic fault with Nokia unit. Read my post http://www.fullfatrr.com/forum/post99656.html#99656 the bit about linking out the Nokia is the bit you need to read. Previously..

Thanks Contraband, i will look into that. What is the Nokia box, is it for the car kit that I dont use?Presume its not bluetooth?

Lol: it wasnt the seller you mentioned. I thinkk the tuner is likley OK but the fibre optic seems not to be getting through. Just a fluke I think that it happened when I took it out.

I will try and pypass it and see if that works, rthen maybe get a cheap repalacment if that sorts it.

Thanks
guys! Thumbs Up

Nokia unit is for the blutooth. Have you tried scanning the blutooth with your telephone to see if you can see the car? Previously..
