A while ago I took my classic to these guys to check on an electrical fault that caused the car to stall and the battery to drain. After 5 hours of diagnostics they charged me but could find nothing wrong. When I collected the car, it had to be jump started due to the drain. In the end all I got for my money was a car wash. I should never have bothered.

I took the car back home and called an auto electrician, after half an hour he had fixed the problem, charged me £25 and it worked a treat.

The main dealers used to be a BMW dealership prior to turning LR, and as a result knew nothing of the older versions of the cars their new brand affiliation was linked to.

Due to this, I will always avoid main dealers like the plague. The only one I might due to actually having an interest in the older Rangies is Lookers Park Royal.

If you are in the Windsor area, Nick Kerner 4x4 is an amazing company, they ended up getting all the work after my experience with the incompetent main dealers. Ask for Ronnie. Tom
