Scotland 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Rimini Red
CD Player

CD player on my 2006 works most of the time but if you come back to the car and choose CD is seems to just sit and with no playing and no ability to change tracks.

If I choose another CD (e.g. CD1) then it will start and play just it doesn't start automatically on the disc that is already chosen.

No fault codes recorded with the OBDII tool.

It is liveable with but would be nice to choose CD and for it to start playing. Any ideas? (the pause button isn't on)

Thanks Thumbs Up

Grant

Have the same on mine occasionally (MY07 4.4 Petrol) sometimes also does it after making a call on Bluetooth. Only does it very occasionally and easily fixed by choosing another disc so not that worried, but I agree its annoying.

been waiting for it to happen again to see if I can restart it using voice command but hasn't happened for a while. Will post back if/when I get the chance to try it.

Mine also does this (07 TDV8)

If using CD player screen when starting screen will go blank and when back on approx 50% of the time the player will freeze.

If nor using the CD, the player still freezes but not as often

Also on starting the phone loses bluetooth and will not re-connect

Would appear to be electric spike on starting

P38 never did this Rolling Eyes
