2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Zambezi Silver
Millennium Range Rover near Croydon, Bad Experience

Well my experience

Booked the car in and requested a Loan car with no issues told them i wanted a 60000 mile service advised i had LPG, new spark plugs and a K&N air filter no issues, straight forward enough confirmed date job done

A week prior to taking the car in at 3pm i get a stroppy call asking where my car is for its service. I said its booked for the follow Friday and the guy who had rung to give me grief gave the phone back to the booking guy and he said sorry and amended his diary accordingly.

So I get the car there for 9am as agreed get told that they would call me if there was any issues etc and off i went in the micra loaner with Millennium Range Rover specialist written all over it.

Around 1pm I get a call telling me they have had a issue with the car before mine but they were about to get on mine and would call me and tell me what else it was going to need other than the service (bearing in mind they havent looked at it yet or started the service the booking lad is telling me its gonna need something Shocked )

So i finish my shopping in Croydon and go past where its in for a service around 2.15-2.30 and my car hasnt moved its still where i parked it.

Now im getting concerned as i know the serivice is gonna take at least a 2 hours to do a half decent job and it hasnt moved, so bearing this in mind i was starting to think the worst IE they say they've serviced it and they havent etc etc

So i call them and ask what there playing at so they tell me, Well we figured to keep it for the weekend and let u pick it up on Monday at this point I walk into the place still on the phone.

I said to them there taking the p*ss assuming they could keep it the weekend in a unscure car park and with out consulting me prior, the car they had on the ramp wasnt even there when i dropped my car off

I would never go back to this firm ever again unreal

It gets worse Censored

So i get home and start putting my stuff back in the car and notice my owners manual is round the wrong way open and to my shock i find my service book isnt there, i call Millennium and the booking guy tells me he has the book on his desk and they have signed and stamped it, I went mental to put it polietly, i went straight back down and got it as he told me it could go missing in the post and all sorts.

This firm will never see one of my cars ever again

This is my experience with

Thanks
Neil

Likewise a bad experience a couple of years ago with my Disco
Booked the car in for a straight forward service and MOT
Dropped the car off early morning, picked up the sewing machine disguised as a Micra courtesy car

much much later in the afternoon I received a call that my steering ball joints were worn
i was a little surprised because i dont do a lot of mileage and only off road about once a year.
I explained on the phone that I had'nt any problems with the steering wandering / pulling or tyre wear; + didnt get a warning on the last MOT; but in the end conceded its an MOT failure, so dont have a choice

they kept the car for a few more days, cost me an arm and a leg
6 months later, i had a nasty shock as my 2 front tyres had worn down to the thread because they were "Toeing out"
2 new tyres later + tracking, the fitter reckoned the problem was down to the steering not being aligned at all when ball joints were fitted. I did think about going back to sort it out with millenium, but decided i would only probaly get the usual "well we cant be responsible for speedbumps and pot holes routine" and opted for me / the family and work colleagues not using them again
Sad

Just read this post must say i am very surprised.

I had my 2013 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Health checked at my local main dealer They reported front and rear brake pads required replacement and 45,000 mile service required. I asked for a price and i was quoted £1200 + vat. I asked When this could be done and a loan car provided, and was told there was a 5 week wait for the loan car.

I contacted Millennium and asked for a quote for the above, they quoted me £900 inc Vat. They offered to collect and deliver my car and provided me with a loan car all within the week.

My Car was collected by 9am on the Monday, i was telephoned at lunch time and told the vehicle would be finished and delivered by lunch time Tuesday.

I got the car back and was surprised to see the car had been fully valeted and after driving the vehicle it all seems to be well.

i think given the original quote from the main dealer and the ridiculous booking time i am more than happy with the service given by Millennium. Smile

SO has anyone else had a good experience with them? I'm new to RR ownership and was thinking to use my BMW indie for any work that needed doing as they also work on LRs. Millenium is close by however so was considering them....

I can`t work out why anyone would pay £900+ vat for brake pads?

Are you in South London/Croydon then?

For other vaguely local options, given the above mixed feedback:
- In more central London (Battersea), RR London gets pretty good reviews
- I used LRR Range Rovers in Greenwich this year for the first time (as Brownchurch moved out of East London to Essex), and they seemed good
- Gigglepin4x4 along towards Sevenoaks are very well known

Probably several others not too far away as well.

I think we are lead to believe that you get the car cleaned free of charge someone has to pay the cleaner.

I think, if I read the posts correctly, the prices include a 45,000 mile service.

My mate owns a garage in Carshalton, which I help out at when I am not busy. Small independent, not a specialist, but a FFRR owner and lover.

Try him if it's any help.
