Annoyingly the only reason I was connecting my OBD reader to the car was so that I could post up my fuel trim readings for someone on here!

As a slight aside could you look at your intake temp versus the outside temp as shown on the dash. mine always seems much higher than ambient.

Not sure about your alarm though. V8 or else ...

It will be higher than ambient though, because of the under-bonnet heat generated from the engine.
