Ugly, mega rapid, ugly, amazing handling, ugly, bomb proof, thirsty, oh did I mention they're a bit ugly (like a 1980's hatchback that's done a ram raid on the chav aisle at Halfords.)

If cheap worth owning for a bit just for hooligan value

I know what you mean, I'm not sure if I can live with something that looks like that ...

Which year is it? I had a 2003 "blob eye" model which was slightly less ugly than the "bug eyed" version that came before it. After some time it grew on me and I quite liked the looks.

Engine: Awesome. Handling: Awesome - very nicely balanced and 4wd system is very good. Looks - already covered! I found it fairly cheap to service although it's obviously not "cheap" by comparison with very small cars. The interior was very dull and full of plastic but at the same time it felt like it would last a long time.

I'd have another, but not one of the newer hatchback cars as I think the styling is even worse.

Edit: The one I had was a WRX PPP so it was 260hp and that extra 60 made a massive difference - turned a reasonably fast car into a really good one.

One of the guys at work has a later model, which looks OK-ish.

It's damnably quick everywhere, although I'm still waiting to show it (I hope) a clean pair of heels in my E55.

I think you've gotta do it. Get it out of your system. But wear a balaclava when you're driving it. Laughing Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.

Ah I had the RB1 which was over boosted and remapped to c. 300 ish.

Very exciting- agree about the interior ugly but solid again, when the trees are coming at you THAT fast it pales into insignificance, can also make a pretty ordinary driver feel talented.

Possible with the adjustable centre diff with water spray on the mahoosive intercooler to embarrass very serious metal!
