I have this on mine and apart from the reversing camera which is excellant especially with the cool lines that show you the path of the car as you turn the wheels, i personally think it is as much use as a chocolate teapot.

I guess off road it would be useful, i used it once to park in a tight space in a hospital car park.

My passenger mirror and front camera nearside camera keep bluescreening and the dealer says he is waiting for new link cable to fix it? Current 2010 Vogue SE, Stornoway Grey with Storm Leather,Deployable steps, Vision Pack

Many thanks guess just something else to go wrong, please if anyone else has any thoughts post them up, would they be any use for junctions where a thoughtful person has parked so you are unable to see oncoming traffic? Thanks Stand for something or fall for everything !

There is a junction view that you can select but it does not really show much different. There are the five cameras, one each sid eta the front down either side of the splitter bar, one under each wing mirror and the reverse camera, you get all five on screen in small images and you can select a single or two side by side if you want then full screen size, you can also adjust the image a small amount. |reall designed for low speed manouvering. Once you get above i think 15 miles an hour they are supposed to go off but mine stay on for some reason. Current 2010 Vogue SE, Stornoway Grey with Storm Leather,Deployable steps, Vision Pack

I have it on mine and personally think the other 4 cameras are pretty much useless.

HOWEVER:

- As mentioned, the lines that bend as the car is reversing to show the parking position are excellent. The standard ones that don't move aren't much help if I'm honest.
- The Blind Spot Monitoring system in the wing mirrors is useful.
- The AHBA (Automatic High Beam Assistant) is also pretty good - it sometimes is a bit slow to dim the beam when cars with rubbish lights are approaching. But I'd say it's 98% good.

I have got it but not really tried to use it.

Mine stay on at all speeds so you can have the fronts on when driving.

My problem is I need to put my glasses on to see it properly but do not need them to drive.

The reverse camera works well but unlike the D4 does not go low enough to see the tow bar to help hitch up.

Blind spot mirrors are good but they are inhibited when you hitch a trailer on.

I have not tried the High beam assist yet, will have a play at the weekend. The adaptive lighting was a bit freaky at first but now i love it. I do like the forward alert, had to try it out with the mrs in the car so put it on minimum and got nice and close quick. the look on her face, have to calm down now though as she is due to drop in 4 weeks!!!!

Mick, yes dealer did something, i am sure they said it was software. I have warranty until December so i have been looking at every thing. Made them a small list and they did the lot no arguments including new battery and rear lights.

I am sure i will find a few more before then!! Current 2010 Vogue SE, Stornoway Grey with Storm Leather,Deployable steps, Vision Pack

Mick

Yes the camera does adjust down but because of the slope of the tailgate it cannot see the tow ball.

The D4 has a much steeper back end so the camera can see the towbar.

Might be worth considering moving it to the number plate area.
