firstly are you sure you have a good voltage coming of the batt, put your lights on and use your windows up/down. if they appear fine the next step would be think..when you last used it was all ok... do you here the click as you put your key in, if yes i would check the wires on the starter to make sure they are tight. just an idea, there are inhibitor switches on the gear selectors to stop you starting the car whilst a gear is selected. my D2 has this problem and it wouldn't start sometimes, due to a dodgy switch. all i used to do, was pull the gear selector fully up and down through the range a couple of times and turn the key and up the old girl would fire. love that V8 burble.. |

Is the gear switch a bit sticky? Does the car think it is in gear and therefore not starting. It's unlikely but just a thought. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

Thanks for all the replies it's actually started now and fine so I'm baffled!!! ...it's done it aces times and my mechanic told me to wait until it properly broke!!!
