Sorry if this is a dumb question.

I bought some Cree LED foglights to replace the yellowy standard ones (I'm waiting on delivery of a kit containing white LEDs to replace sidelights, number plate lights and all interior bulbs).

However, I assumed that as these draw a lower current, they'd chuck up a bulb error so I've also ordered some resistors to solve that issue.

However, I just fitted them to the car to check the colour (incidentally I think they're too blue, more like 8000k not 6000k) without the resistors, which haven't arrived yet, and they've not thrown up an error at all.

Does the FFRR have a Canbus system (my car is a 2007 S/C)? Can't figure out why they're not throwing a fault. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Consider yourself lucky? Maybe there is enough resistance in the bulbs to fool the system? .

mine arent 'canbus error free' ones and i dont get errors but i do get some smart flickering on startup.. ... - .- -.

It's not smart! (IMHO)...

They'll also flicker every (I think it's) 40 seconds as the system checks them... Navcoder will stop all that shenanigans.

Have you tried the latest Beta - using a OBDC lead?

we are talking about 'navcoder' and not steves IIDTool....if navcoder then , no i didnt know that it worked on post 2005 ranges.. ... - .- -.
