My philosophy is this.....If you can afford it BUY IT........If you think you will struggle....THINK VERY CAREFULLY.....If you know yoiu will struggle.......DONT BUY IT.

There is a formula used car manufacturers to decide how much we are willing to pay for a car and it is somthing I would consider silly as X-Box describes.

If the average income is 25k, then that would mean a 50k car.... I don't think so.. |

I think its on gross pay I know its a ridiculous figure when I first heard about how they work it out a few years ago. Still think they are in cloud cuckoo land. |

There is NO WAY I'm paying that much for a car. Used to be, a reasonable home price, what was considered "affordable" was 3x gross annual income. We bought a new (to us) house 3 years ago. Talked to the bankster guy about a mortgage. He approved us for (at that time) 6x annual income. I told him we were looking at something more modest. He said, "oh no, you should buy the biggest house you can!" Got a mortgage from someone else, since he didn't seem to listen to anything I said. Jim 2000 NAS HSE 2005 NAS HSE |
